The OVW school of professional wrestling was founded in 1993 as “Nightmare Inc.” by Nightmare Danny Davis and was once the official developmental territory for both WWE and TNA Wrestling. Over 200 Internationally-recognized wrestling stars have come through our doors on their way to where they are today.
OVW’s training program was developed into the first ever state-certified trade school for professional wrestling in 2019. The OVW Academy provides more than just information about professional wrestling. Here, students receive the opportunity to be a part of our live weekly television show and gain first-hand experience in broadcast television and working in front of a live studio audience.
Full-time students attend classes 4-5 days a week and learn more than just how to be a wrestler. We teach Sports Performance and Nutrition, Production and Digital Media, Writing for Professional Wrestling, Financial Management, On Camera Presentation Skills, Character Development, and much more. The final portion of the one-year program is a Residency at OVW Wrestling where students transition into the active roster of talent and are featured on live events and televised matches on OVW RISE and OVW Pay-Per-View Events.
