The stars of today and superstars of tomorrow are trained and educated into the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) system via the Al Snow Wrestling Academy (ASWA).

The OVW training academy has been around for the past decade was developed into a trade school in 2019. The OVW Academy with Al Snow provides a high level of education and training.

OVW has served as developmental territory for Impact Wrestling and WWE. OVW had a hand in the training of John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Matt Morgan, Shelton Benjamin, The Miz, Cody Rhodes, Doug Basham and more.

Al Snow is a professional wrestling legend. Al wrestled in his first match in 1982 at 18-years-old and has been involved in the wrestling industry ever since.

Doug Basham grew up in a small, one stoplight town in Indiana but had big dreams of one day becoming a professional wrestler. His dream came one step closer when his aunt married the creator and owner of Ohio Valley Wrestling, Nightmare Danny Davis. For ten years Doug trained and performed at Ohio valley wrestling before eventually achieving his ultimate goal of signing a contract with the WWE. After having a successful seven year career, Doug went on to perform in other promotions and also traveling the world as an independent wrestler until finally retiring from wrestling in 2009. After a twelve year break from wrestling Doug has returned to his roots at Ohio Valley Wrestling to help the now owner, Al Snow, produce the long running television show and also become the head trainer for current and future talent of Ohio Valley Wrestling. With 20 years of experience along with being a 4 time Ohio valley champ, 2 time WWE Tag Champ, and a multitude of international championships Doug has finally come home to help build the future of superstars at Ohio Valley Wrestling
